Know your export duty before you pick a market
Check the import duty your produce faces under India's Free Trade Agreements, follow the full export process, and let our team handle the hard parts.
Export duty checker
Pick a destination market and enter your crop. We show the import duty applied to Indian goods under the Free Trade Agreement.
Tip: a duty-free market means no import tax on your crop โ usually the best place to sell.
How exporting actually works
The full path from your farm to a buyer abroad. Knowing the duty is step one โ these are the steps that follow.
- 1
Check your market & duty
Use the checker above to see which destination charges the least on your crop. A 0% market is where your price competes best.
- 2
Confirm FTA eligibility
A low tariff applies only if your goods meet the agreement's Rules of Origin โ broadly, that the product is genuinely Indian in origin.
- 3
Register to export
Get an Importer Exporter Code (IEC) from DGFT, and register with APEDA for scheduled agricultural products. Both are one-time and online.
- 4
Meet quality & plant-health rules
Most fresh produce needs a Phytosanitary Certificate, issued by Plant Quarantine after inspection. Buyers may also ask for residue testing.
- 5
Pack & label for the destination
Each market has its own rules for language, origin, shelf-life, and handling labels. Getting this right avoids rejection at the port.
- 6
Get your Certificate of Origin
To claim the preferential FTA duty, you need a Certificate of Origin via DGFT's e-CoO platform or an authorised agency. Without it, you pay the standard rate.
- 7
Clear customs & ship
Prepare the commercial invoice, packing list, and shipping documents. Your goods clear customs and move to the destination.
Don't want to handle the paperwork? We'll do it with you.
The checker tells you what's possible. Our team takes it from there โ confirming FTA eligibility, preparing your documents and Certificate of Origin application, sorting phytosanitary and quality compliance, and guiding your first shipment end to end. Built for individual farmers, FPOs, and exporters alike.

Frequently asked questions
How the duty checker and export support fit into getting your crop to a global buyer.
How do I know the import duty on my crop?
Use the duty checker above: choose the destination and enter your crop name or HS code. It shows the preferential duty applied to Indian goods under the relevant Free Trade Agreement.
Why does the duty differ between countries?
Each Free Trade Agreement negotiates different rates. The same crop can be duty-free in one market and still taxed in another โ which is exactly why checking before you choose a market matters.
What if my country isn't listed yet?
We're adding markets continuously. If the one you need isn't there, tell our team and we'll prioritise it.
